This is not a customary introduction to philosophy. However, it may well constitute an introduction to philosophy from an interdisciplinary view, in an attempt to avoid empty speculation and subjetivism through the establishment of relations between philosophy and historical and scientific contextual hints.
The main thread of the book winds through different approaches to ‘appearance and reality’, which are stitched to a number of short stories of classical authors such as Horacio Quiroga, Edgar Allan Poe, O. Henry, Franz Kafka and others, which provide “the cases” under investigation.

A book to enjoy while exercising curiosity and critical examination of the grounds of our opinions, beliefs and knowledges.

The author is a philosophy graduate of Buenos Aires University, Argentina, with specialized studies and research work in epistemology and science history.
